John W. Gill is Executive Vice President –
Human Resources for Rolls-Royce North America
Inc. In this role, he is responsible for human
resources strategy, policy and programs across
Rolls-Royce businesses and operations in North
America and provides functional human resources
oversight for South America operations. Gill joined
Rolls-Royce in 2001 and is based at the company’s
North American corporate headquarters in Reston,
VA.
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Gill was with
Lockheed Martin Corporation, where he served
as Vice President, Resources and Services for
the corporation’s 21,000 person Aeronautics
Sector. In this capacity he had responsibility
for human resources, safety, facilities and
services and information management systems.
During his 20 year tenure with Lockheed Martin,
he held senior human resource positions in each
of the Electronics, Space and Information sectors
of the corporation.
Gill is a member of the Aerospace Human Resources
Council of the H.R. Policy Association, the
Midwest Aerospace Industrial Relations Council
and the Labor and Industrial Advisory Group
of O.R.C. Worldwide. He also sits on the Regional
Advisory and Community Impact Committees of
the United Way of the National Capital area
and is on the Board of Directors for Fairfax
Futures.
Gill holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia
University and a MBA from the Florida Institute
of Technology.
