
Thomas (Tom) P. Dale is Executive Vice President
– General Counsel for Rolls-Royce North
America Inc. In this role, he oversees all legal
matters affecting Rolls-Royce businesses and
operations in the US and Canada, which includes
management of the company's legal team, as well
as its company secretariat, ethics, trade compliance,
defense security and intellectual property functions.
Dale also serves as Secretary to the Rolls-Royce
North America Holdings Board of Directors and
its Government Security Committee. He joined
Rolls-Royce in 1990 as the company's General
Counsel and Company Secretary. He is based at
the company’s North America corporate
headquarters in Chantilly, VA.
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Dale was a lawyer
in private practice with firms in Philadelphia,
New York and Boston, specializing in mergers
and acquisitions, financings and other corporate
transactions.
Dale is a member of the bar in the states of
New York, Massachusetts, Virginia and Pennsylvania
and has been admitted to practice before the
U.S. Supreme Court. He is also a member of the
American Bar Association (ABA), and the American
Corporate Counsel Association. Dale currently
serves on the Governing Committee of the ABA
Forum on Air & Space Law, and has been recognized
for excellence in corporate practice by the
American Corporate Counsel Association. His
legal team was recently named as an Employer
of Choice by the Minority Corporate Counsel
Association.
Dale received an A.B. in History from Princeton
University, a J.D. from Boston College Law School
and a Certificate in Management through the
Executive Education Program at the Darden Graduate
School of Business Administration.
