Minister of Higher Education and Rolls-Royce to support students at Dubai Airshow “Futures Day”
Sunday, 13 November 2011HH Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al-Nahayan, the UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has expressed his support for "Futures Day‟, which will be held on 17 November 2011, the last day of this years Dubai Airshow. The important initiative also gained support from Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, which is the first Gold Sponsor.
Futures Day will invite up to 400 students from universities and colleges across the UAE to join an innovative programme which will highlight to them the diverse career opportunities which are available in the aerospace industry.
HH Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al-Nahayan said: “One of the Ministry's main goals are supporting scientific research and encouraging innovation. Futures Day at the Dubai Airshow 2011 is a chance for our university students to meet innovative companies that invest in scientific research.
“I wish to thank the Dubai Airshow organisers and Rolls-Royce for organising this activity and I would encourage students who participate in this initiative to ask questions and engage with the important global companies who will be on hand providing their expertise and knowledge for our benefit.”
Rolls-Royce will host a seminar for the students to provide detailed insight into the exciting career opportunities in science and engineering across the industries that the Group participates in, globally.

The Dubai Airshow is organised under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and in co-operation with Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Airports and the UAE Armed Forces.
