Rolls-Royce has made progress in understanding the cause of the engine failure on the Trent 900 powered A380 Qantas flight QF32 on 4 November 2010. It is now clear this incident is specific to the Trent 900 engine.

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has won an order worth $390m at list prices from THAI Airways International for Trent 700 engines to power an additional seven Airbus A330 aircraft.  The order includes a TotalCareâ long-term service agreement for the aircraft which will be delivered from 2011.
