Since 1989, the year of the first Dubai Airshow, Dubai has been at the centre of a remarkable growth of the Middle East and its aviation industry.

The Rolls-Royce Trent has played a major role in this growth and, at the same time, has won the largest share of the world market for engines for modern wide-bodied aircraft.
