This NVC-Design is a car and truck carrier with twin screw, stabilising fins and excellent deck layout. The vessel has unique flexibility, combining fixed decks and hoistable car deck

Cargo carriers

Cargo carriers from Rolls-Royce are designed with tailored hull lines, ensuring excellent sea-keeping characteristics and lowest possible fuel consumption.

NVC 407 is a RoRo/Container vessel, containing three cargo decks, one stern ramp, fixed interior ramps and a deck crane to ensure rapid and flexible cargo handling.

The NVC-Design™ is well known for RoRo vessels throughout the world, from the earliest vessels designed in 1974 to the latest generation of highly advanced ships, specially designed for carrying forest products from the Baltic and the Continent.

The NVC-Design offers ramp and deck arrangements for efficient and safe loading and unloading of cargo. Low vessel acceleration minimises potential cargo damage.

The first car carriers of NVC-Design were delivered in 1983. Since then, and in close collaboration with clients, we have designed several generations of car carriers where focus has been on maximum car intake within minimum length, beam and draught.

The NVC-Design features optimal positioning of interior ramps, resulting in very fast and safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
