Long-term support

Long-term support packages

Working together to meet future challenges

Optimised manning, tighter budgets and more demanding operations are driving the need for more innovative and cost effective support solutions. This in turn means developing new ways of working, moving away from the traditional competitive bidding for each package of work, to supplier and customer working together to achieve shared goals and objectives in an arrangement that fosters mutual respect and trust.

To enable operators to concentrate on their core activities, and have the assurance their complex vessels continue to be maintained as designed, but with predictable costs, Rolls-Royce has developed MarineCare.

MarineCare is all about aligning goals and incentives for both the owner/operator and Rolls-Royce within a partnership focused on delivering:

  • Visibility – of future costs and cashflow –giving ease of budgeting with no hidden surprises.
  • Availability – unplanned breakdowns minimised through the integration of condition monitoring and planned maintenance.

Both are underpinned by risk transfer and performance guarantees for total peace of mind, while operating anywhere in the world.

The flexible choice

We understand that different operational environments demand different levels of support. Therefore we tailor each MarineCare arrangement to meet the exact requirements of the owner or operator in a true partnership that is beneficial to both parties.

You get a guaranteed view of future maintenance costs, with performance and availability guarantees, while Rolls-Royce can plan for the long term and invest in delivering the savings only working in this way can realise. With three levels of care available, you can choose the MarineCare level that best suits your financial and operational needs.

MarineCare

MarineCare comes with a maintenance programme based on an agreed service level. From the three available, you can select the level that best suits your requirements. We then tailor it to meet the individual vessel maintenance requirements. All are underpinned by the Rolls-Royce global service network with 24/7 technical support and include:

  • Transfer of maintenance responsibility and technical risk to Rolls-Royce.
  • Priority access to OEM parts and experienced service personnel.
  • Dedicated project manager for single point of contact and responsive support.
  • Improved planning and forecasting of maintenance needs backed by OEM product knowledge and condition monitoring capabilities.
  • Customer training.
  • Agreed annual fee based on level selected.
