Ship designs for rescue vessels

Rescue Vessels

As many UT-Design™ vessels are multi-functional, a number have been designed to provide varying levels of fire-fighting, standby and rescue support as well as other duties specified by the customer. Typical is the UT 719 R. It is equipped for offshore rescue assistance, including tanker assistance up to approx. 100,000 TDW and can accommodate up to 300 survivors.

Features and benefits

  • Flexible platform design
  • Safety/Standby/Rescue duties
  • Fire-Fighting (Fi-Fi)
  • DP services (DP2)
  • Other options at customer request

The UT 527 design is another example. It has a high top speed/bollard pull and is equipped with two daughter craft that can be recovered through the stern hatch or along side. Ample accommodation areas provide a large capacity for survivors.
