Vertically retractable azimuth thrusters

The eight sizes in the retractable range covers powers from 280 - 3,000kW and uses components from the Rolls-Royce standard range. They are designed to retract into the hull when not in use, reducing the vessel's drag.

This type of unit can be installed with either L or Z drive configuration and is available with CP or FP propellers.

The lifting and lowering operation is activated by a push button on the bridge. Unlocking/locking in position and the engagement of the drive shaft coupling is automatic.

Units provide low noise and vibration and can be supplied for diesel or electric drive.
