Diesel engines

Reliability, fuel efficiency, emissions and ease of maintenance are key design goals

In 1943 the first diesel engines were manufactured in Bergen. Since then thousands of Bergen four-stroke medium-speed engines have been supplied for marine propulsion and power generation applications worldwide.

The compact and robust Bergen diesel range delivers powers from 1,440 to 8,000kW.
