The design philosophy for the Bergen B gas engine has
been driven by the requirement for lower exhaust emissions,
the highest possible electrical and heat recovery efficiency
and outstanding reliability. V12, V16 and V20 varients
are available for powers of 5250-8750kW.

Bergen B35:40 auxiliary engine
Features and benefits:
- Uses redesigned components from the proven B32:40
diesel
- BMEP 18.2 bar
- Solid state ignition with individual timing and
diagnostics for each cylinder
- Specific energy consumption 7550kj/kWh
- Twin turbochargers with variable turbine geometry
(VTG) for precise airflow
- Simple to maintain
The Bergen B gas engine sets new standards in power
and efficiency in the 720-750 rpm class, with exceptionally
low emissions of Nox, CO,and UHC combined. It is a high
technology, low risk design that builds on the latest
B diesel hardware, specifically redesigned and modified
for the gas variant.
A large swept volume (bore 350mm and stroke 400mm)
and optimised combustion technology delivers the high
cylinder output.
