Further to our announcement of December 6th 2012 relating to concerns about bribery and corruption in overseas markets, we have been informed by the Serious Fraud Office that it has now commenced a formal investigation into these matters.

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, announces that Warren East will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director on 1 January 2014. Warren East, previously Chief Executive of ARM Holdings, is a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit committee of De La Rue plc. and a Non-Executive Director of Dyson and Micron Technology Inc. BT Group has also announced his appointment as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 February 2014.

Dr Thomlinson Church of England Middle School from Rothbury, Northumberland, has been named as the winner of the 2013 Rolls-Royce Science Prize; an annual competition which celebrates and rewards excellence in science teaching. Each year, Rolls-Royce awards a total of £120,000 in cash prizes to schools who implement motivational science teaching.

Rolls-Royce increased its order book and confirmed plans for its most advanced Trent 1000 civil engine at this week's Paris Air Show. The Group announced significant new orders and agreements worth almost $5 billion for engines and services with a number of customers including Philippine Airlines, Air France-KLM, and United Airlines.

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, today announced the appointment of Lord Gold to lead a review of its compliance procedures, reporting to the Ethics Committee of the Board. This follows the previous announcement by Rolls-Royce that it has provided information to the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) relating to concerns about bribery and corruption involving intermediaries in overseas markets.
