Five-to-seven-year-olds can turn themselves into human batteries at the event, which runs from August 24-27. By placing their hands of a metal plate, kids can create electricity - measured by a moving needle.
Rolls-Royce is playing a significant role in the festival and is a principal day sponsor on the Saturday. Many of the ships on display at the event feature Rolls-Royce equipment, either powering the ships themselves or helicopters that fly from them.
The Rolls-Royce exhibition is themed around youth and technology. It is divided into four zones: energy for five to seven-year-olds; helicopters for 7-11s; defence for 11-14s and marine for 14-16s. All the zones support relevant key stages in the national curriculum.
David Price, Rolls-Royce Managing Director - Naval Marine, said: "We are delighted to be playing a significant role in the International Festival of the Sea. Acquisitions in the last two years have made Rolls-Royce a world leader in the marine market and we wanted to support this major public event which is fun and also reminds us of the huge importance of the maritime industry."
Other children's highlights at the Rolls-Royce stand include: Windy City - create your own model city and see how air flows through it; Mission Control - test your ability to keep calm in a crisis while your control systems flash out warnings; and air blowers which keep beach balls suspended in the air.
The Rolls-Royce exhibition will be at the end of the south west quay. For those interested in a career with Rolls-Royce, details will be available at the stand.
