Technology transfer across commercial and naval applications
has enabled Rolls-Royce to offer two 20 knot replenishment/UNREP
vessel designs capable of meeting emerging naval requirements
– to keep up with the fleet and re-supply it quickly.
They must also meet MARPOL regulations that demand all
tankers are double-hulled by 2010.

The 14,000dwt design option is 173m long, design is
modular allowing customers total flexibility in the
selection and level of military features
The 25,000 and 14,000dwt ship designs come complete
with a range of Rolls-Royce equipment that includes
the latest semi-automated replenishment systems capable
of transferring loads up to 2 tonnes. Development work
is in progress to increase this to 6 tonnes.
