Fast logistic vessels

To meet the changing emphasis in military support requirements, the deployment of rapid response forces to distant areas at short notice, a vessel with the rare combination of long range and high speed with a relatively high payload is required.

We have developed a family of fast naval logistic ships based on the commercial P2500 fast cargo hull form. The largest is a 4,000dwt monohull, 177m long, with a range of 3,000 nautical miles capable of transporting 2,500 tonnes of cargo at 40 knots.

Commercial catamarans like WestPac Express (powered by four Rolls-Royce Kamewa 125SII waterjets) are on extended naval charter.
