With the company's oil and gas business in Malaysia expanding rapidly, Rolls-Royce and its partner company, OTEC Kemajuan Sdn. Bhd., have established a customer support facility in the Kemaman Supply Base (KSB). Its aim is to serve customers throughout the region, including Petronas and its Profit Sharing Contractors (PSCs).

As a global company, Rolls-Royce also differentiates itself by developing its existing workforce through the recruitment and training of local engineers to service its installed products around Malaysia. This includes a commitment to the transfer of technology through the training of local technical expertise in both sales and after-sales product support.

Reiterating this commitment to local service and talent, Rolls-Royce and OTEC Kemajuan have partnered Petronas to develop a turbo machine technology transfer programme with INSTEP. The aim is to provide gas turbine and compressor training locally and to upgrade the skills of Petronas engineers and technicians.
