Going forward, Rolls-Royce North American Technologies will be
known informally and in industry circles as LibertyWorks™.
The name LibertyWorks was derived from the company history with
the AE 1107C-Liberty engine that powers the V-22 Osprey - as well
as the name of the first aero engine built at our Indianapolis facility.
Rolls-Royce will carry on AADC’s heritage as
a well-known and respected partner for advanced research and development
in the US defense industry.
Through LibertyWorks, Rolls-Royce will continue to develop and
demonstrate technology for advanced gas turbine propulsion and power
systems including: high temperature turbine and combustion systems;
fans and compressors; and exhaust systems. Our primary vision is
to be an agile, entrepreneurial team excelling at developing innovative,
affordable power systems enabling Rolls-Royce to provide
game-changing solutions for our customers.
As specialists in defense and defense-related products for various
U.S. Government agencies, LibertyWorks has demonstrated its dedication
in the Integrated High Performance Turbine Engine Technology (IHPTET)
initiative, Versatile Affordable Advanced Turbine Engine (VAATE)
program, the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, and other man-rated
engine projects as well as expendable engine programs. Innovative
solutions and proven capabilities make LibertyWorks a world leader
in high technology propulsion and power.
