Hanstar power station Allison 501

In Japan, Rolls-Royce has three packaging specialists for the highly successful 501 gas turbine for power generation uses.

Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (IHI) (for sales and packaging of 501 units in naval vessels and for land-based power generation markets) and Kobe Steel and Hitachi Kosen, both for packaging engines for power generation customers.

More than 200 industrial gas turbines generate energy for many of Japan's internationally renowned businesses in a vast range of sectors including automotive, chemicals and petrochemicals, rail transport, steel, ebergy supply, foodstuffs and electronics.

Airports, hospitals, banking centres, academic complexes and major commercial buildings all exploit the benefits of generator sets powered by Rolls-Royce.
