Rolls-Royce is a pioneer in the development of aeroderivative
gas turbines and has sold over 5,200 aeroderivative
gas turbines, the equivalent of 45,000 MW installed
power. Rolls-Royce has achieved over 145 million operating
hours and over 500 customers in 70 countries.
501: Serving the
5,500 to 11,000 hp (4.10 to 8.20 MW) range, these units
draw upon 30 years of evolution. Standard package designs
reduce both manufacturing costs and installation and
commissioning time.
RB211: Designed
for growth, the latest RB211 can produce up to 44,900
hp (33.48 MW) at tremendous efficiency. The RB211 gas
generator consists of five pre-balanced modules that
can be removed or replaced individually. This modularity
concept has now been extended to the power turbine.
Trent: Derived
from the Trent high by-pass-ratio aero engine in service
on the Airbus A330 and Boeing 777, the industrial version
sets new standards as the largest and most efficient
unit available for power generation and mechanical drive
applications.
