Trent mechanical drive package

The Trent 60 is designed for mechanical drive service. The same gas turbine package and engine used for fixed speed power generation also allows for variable speed operation from 70 to 105 per cent speed. Starting of the train is achieved with the same 230 KW starting motor regardless of the driven equipment design.
