The steam drum inspection determines steam drum cleanliness, structural integrity and location of anomalous conditions and foreign objects that can adversely affect plant operability or even cause unplanned outages. All points of interest in the steam drum are inspected for anomalous conditions including corrosion, erosion, cracked welds, and physical distortion, dislocation or movement.

Main areas of interest:

• Primary and secondary moisture separators
• Deck and deck supports
• Feedwater header, header supports and J-Nozzles
• Drain lines
• Ladders and access hatches
