Industrial Trent
The Rolls-Royce Industrial Trent is derived from the Trent aero engine, which powers the Airbus A330 and Boeing 777.

The industrial application of the Trent engine sets new standards as the most powerful aero-derivative gas turbine available for power generation, and offers unparalleled levels of efficiency to the oil and gas industry.

A standard Industrial Trent engine outputs 52 million watts. This is enough electrical energy to:

  • power an average television set for 40 years
  • keep a 60 watt light bulb turned on continuously for 99 years
  • power a small radio for over 59,000 years
  • or make over 1,700,000 pieces of toast.

Power generation
In the area of power generation, Rolls-Royce has sold sets which can generate a total of 21,500MW.

This is enough to supply power to New York, Mexico or Seoul.
