The service
Using these newly developed paints it is no longer
necessary to position a large number of thermocouple
elements, pressure holes or other sensors, to
measure temperature or pressure on component surfaces.
The use of pressure-sensitive paint (PSP) and
temperature-sensitive paint (TSP) are reversible
coatings which allows pressures and temperatures
to be captured, in real time, with high resolution
both on rotating and stationary surfaces.
Pressure Sensitive Paints (PSP)
- Tested up to 6 bar
- Time resolution µs (1ms typical)
- Application analogous to Thermal Paints
- Could be applied on almost any material
- Narrow temperature range (-20° to +80°C)
- Measurement system can be miniaturised
(Boroscope Entry)
Temperature Sensitive Paints
(TSP)
- Up to 250°C (450°C in laboratory environment)
- Physical limit 2000°C
- Time resolution µs (1ms typical)
- Paint stable for up to 12 weeks
- Application analogous to Thermal Paints
- Can be applied to almost any material
Available Equipment:
- Commercial 2-D System
- Spot Measurement System with high time resolution
- Traverse equipment under development |
