Secondary Power System for Tornado
To avoid reliance on ground equipment, Tornado aircraft are equipped with a Secondary Power System (SPS), that supplies the aircraft with hydraulic and electrical power for ground service. Furthermore the main engines are started by the SPS. The main components (two accessory gearboxes and the APU) were developed by Rolls-Royce Deutschland in Oberursel for the Tornado Multi Role Combat Aircraft.
Gnome H1400-1 turboshaft for Sea king MK41
The Rolls-Royce Gnome H1400-1 engine powers the German Navy helicopter Westland Sea King MK41. Each helicopter is equipped with two turboshafts. The Gnome H1400-1 engine is completely supported at Rolls-Royce Deutschland, including repair & overhaul.
T53-L-13B/T5317A turboshaft for Bell UH-1/205
The T53 turboshaft powers the Bell UH-1/205 helicopter, with more than 420 engines having been produced for the German Armed Forces. For these engines Rolls-Royce Deutschland guarantees a full technical and logistical support, including repair & overhaul.
Larzac 04 C20 turbofan for Alpha Jet
Advanced trainer and close tactical support aircraft require reliable and low maintenance propulsion systems like the Larzac 04 C20 engine. The Rolls-Royce Deutschland manufacturing share is approx 23 percent. In addition technical and logistical support including repair and overhaul is provided for customers.
Component refurbishment
Engines do not wear - but their components do. That's why Rolls-Royce Deutschland treats component refurbishment as a core competence and offers a wide spectrum of its capabilities to the customer base. State-of-the-art machining processes, latest welding technologies and the comprehensive variety of special processes can be applied to a widespread family of engine components, not limited to Rolls-Royce Deutschland engine rework programmes but extending also to engine types such as General Electric CF-34, Pratt & Whitney PW100, Pratt & Whitney PW 901A and others.
T117 turbojet for Canadair CL 289
The T117 turbojet engine is a compact and lightweight engine for military reconnaissance drones. The T 117, a single-shaft engine, was developed at Rolls-Royce Deutschland for installation in the Canadair CL 289 drone aircraft.
