Course objectives
This course provides description and operation information applicable to line
maintenance activities as outlined by the appropriate Operation and Maintenance
manual. Exposure to relevant inspection techniques, special tooling, engine specific procedures and maintenance publications will be provided in classroom and laboratory environments. Course material relating to engine design features and method of operation will be presented using the Rolls-Royce computer based training (CBT) system. Students will interact with the educational software as well as participate in traditional lecture presentations of the various topics covered. While navigating within the computer training environment, students can study the material, review individual topics and answer review questions to insure adequate comprehension. Laboratory work provides many opportunities for the use of tooling and techniques required for Model 250 engine maintenance. The knowledge provided in this course is intended to supplement the information available to the technician in the applicable maintenance manuals.
NOTE: The Bendix fuel system is the only fuel system covered in regularly scheduled classes.
Student training can be tailored to any one of the following engines:
Model 250-C30M, P, R, S, G2 |
