Training

Customer training

The provision of training is fully integrated into MissionCare® and the broader Rolls-Royce corporate service culture. Our customer-training teams promote and maintain close relationships with the company's technical teams, as well as with airframe and accessory manufacturers.

The aim is to provide the customer with the right training against a backdrop of current service operations, maintenance practices and trouble-shooting procedures.

Training can be provided at customer facilities or at the two Defence Aerospace Customer Training Centres, located in Bristol, England and Indianapolis, USA.

Rolls-Royce plc looks forward to welcoming you and building successful business relationships.

For information about the courses we offer and the dates on which they run, please see our training centre brochures below:

Training content

Customer training classes provide technical information and 'hands-on' experience for people who operate and maintain Rolls-Royce engines. The goal of each training programme is to build confidence based on knowledge and understanding. Engine systems familiarisation and maintenance procedures are key focal points of each programme.

This training is built on a foundation that will enable the student to understand:

  • engine nomenclature and functions
  • systems operation
  • control systems
  • operational procedures
  • gas turbine principles and theory
  • test equipment procedures
  • problem-solving techniques through class discussions
  • maintenance and preventative maintenance
  • adjustments and calibration
  • borescope inspection (selected classes only)
