AE 2100

  • Power range from 3,600 shp to 4,700 shp (hot & high up to 6,200 shp)
  • More than 5.6 million flying hours accumulated

The AE 2100 is a turboprop derivative of the AE 1107 turboshaft engine. The engine was developed to power military transports, long-range maritime patrol aircraft and the new generation of high-speed regional aircraft in the 50 to 70 seat category.

The engine's modular design and easily accessible components reduce maintenance costs, and operators benefit from over 80 per cent parts commonality with the AE family of engines.

The AE 2100D3 engine is coupled to a new-technology six-bladed Dowty propeller for use on the Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules military transport.

The AE 2100D2 powers the Alenia C-27J Spartan medium airlifter. The AE 2100J powers the ShinMaywa US-2 amphibious search and rescue aircraft. To date, more than 1,800 AE 2100 engines have been delivered, accumulating more than 5.6 million flying hours.
