Year 10 school student aged 14 – 151 weekIt is government policy that school pupils should have a period of work experience in year 10, as part of their educational programme. This is just one of the ways Rolls-Royce demonstrates its commitment to support the local community.Online application form

Year 11 school student aged 15 – 161 weekPriority is given to supporting Year 10 one-week placements, however if a Year 11 student shows an enthusiasm for a career in Engineering placement, applications will be considered.Online application form

Sixth Form Students Aged 16 - 191 weekPlacements may be offered to sixth form students with an engineering focus, particularly specialising in the STEM Subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering & Manufacturing).
These placements are usually business supported. Engineering workforce, particularly specialising in the STEM Subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering & Manufacturing).

Engineering Diploma2 weeksEngineering Specialised Diploma is a new initiative, which Rolls-Royce has been involved in the development of.  An average of 2 weeks work experience placements will be required.Online application form

Derby City Young Apprentice Programme in Engineering2 weeks at Rolls-Royce and 2 weeks at an another engineering organisationRolls-Royce is committed to supporting approximately 20 students from Derby City schools completing a Young Apprentice Scheme. They attend Rolls-Royce one day per week whilst completing their NVQ Engineering related qualifications.  As part of their 2-year course they are required to complete 4 weeks of work experience within Engineering environments.For the Young Apprenticeship Programme please apply online
