Rolls-Royce is ranked in a number of external indices which benchmark corporate responsibility performance.

Rolls-Royce has retained its position in the Dow Jones Sustainability (World and European) Indexes for the sixth consecutive year, confirming the Group’s position as amongst the best in class for addressing a range of sustainability issues.

Rolls-Royce has been awarded Gold Company status in the 2008 Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index for the second year running. This influential UK index is independent and results will be published in the Financial Times.
It is the UK's leading benchmark of responsible business, helping companies to integrate and improve responsibility across their business, and providing a systematic approach to managing, measuring and reporting their impacts on society and the environment. The Index covers key risks and opportunities in four areas - community, environment, marketplace and workplace.
In particular, Rolls-Royce’s commitment to environmental management including reductions in greenhouse emissions and the promotion of behavioural change has been recognised by being awarded platinum status.
