Rolls-Royce has established a strong presence in Russia in the aerospace, marine and energy sectors. We have expanded its operations in Russia with offices in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vyborg, Yuzhno Sakhalinsk and a representative office in Vladivostok.
Civil Aerospace
- More than 150 Rolls-Royce engines are currently in operation with Russian airlines.
- The Rolls-Royce RB211-535 engine powers the Russian Tupolev TU204-120 aircraft.
- Rolls-Royce supply Model 250-C20R engines to Kamov-Holding for the Kamov Ka-226 light twin helicopter programme. More than 20 Ka-226 helicopters are now in service with a number of Russian operators.
Marine
- In 2012 Rolls-Royce will supply a large range of equipment to Transship/Donmar in the Ukraine, the PELLA shipyard in St Petersburg and the Vympel Shipyard in the Yaroslavl region.
- Rolls-Royce will also be supplying equipment such as Azimuth thrusters, PES equipment, deck machinery and steering gear to a range of customers including the Russian Navy.
Energy
- Rolls-Royce has provided heavy fuel oil generating sets for Lukoil Arhangelskgeoldobycha, the operator of the biggest diamond mines in the world, and Enisey, the oil company located in Komi region of Russian Federation.
- Rolls-Royce has provided two RB211 gas turbine power generation packages and associated waste heat recovery units for off-shore power generation for Sakhalin Energy, the operator of the world’s biggest integrated oil and gas project, and also two RB211 compressor units for buster station on shore of Sakhalin island.
- Rolls-Royce supplies gas pumping units for Gazprom’s Portovaya compressor station on the Nord Stream gas pipeline which will deliver gas from Russia to the European Union.
- Rolls-Royce has provided generating sets for the Domodedovo district in the Moscow region.
Nuclear
- Rolls-Royce and Rosatom announced plans for a collaboration in the area of civil nuclear power in 2011, during Prime Minister David Cameron’s visit to Russia. The two countries pledged to work more closely in civil nuclear energy development.
- Rolls-Royce has worked with the Leningrad power station, to develop and supply a virtual nuclear power station control room
