This code is applicable to all Rolls-Royce Tier 1 suppliers/partrners
and/or any other tiers under direct Rolls-Royce
control and outlines the essential need for suppliers,
their employees and sub-contractors to operate to the
highest standards of business integrity in their relationship
with Rolls-Royce. This code rejects any business practice
that might reasonably be deemed improper.
The Rolls-Royce purchasing code of conduct replicates
the issues referenced in this document to ensure that
Rolls-Royce personnel operate and adhere to the same
high standards.
Rolls-Royce wishes to work collaboratively with suppliers
to ensure proper understanding and compliance with this
supplier/partner code of conduct. It is recognised that
there are different legal and cultural environments
in the countries that the Rolls-Royce supply base operate
in, however, this code of conduct sets forth the minimum
requirements that all suppliers should meet in doing
business with Rolls-Royce.
Conduct business in accordance
with all applicable laws and regulations
Rolls-Royce suppliers/partners must comply with
all national and other applicable laws and regulations
relating to the respective country of operation. This
includes ensuring that business transactions with Rolls-Royce
are fully reported and recorded and ensuring employees
are aware and properly trained to meet the requirements.
- Respect for the environment
Rolls-Royce suppliers/partners are encouraged to obtain
third party approval to a recognised environmental
management system standard eg ISO14001 where deemed
appropriate, and shall be measured against this policy.
Rolls-Royce expects its suppliers/partners to provide
products to Rolls-Royce and to conduct their business
operations in a way that protects and sustains the
environment in accordance with all applicable laws
and regulations.
- Health and safety practices
Rolls-Royce places a duty on all suppliers/partners
to ensure that the products and services delivered
constitute no hazard to health and safety of any of
its employees, customers and local communities.
Conflict of interest
Employees within the Rolls-Royce supply base must deal
with Rolls-Royce in a manner that avoids conflict between
personal interests and those of the employer and Rolls-Royce.
This requirement applies equally to business relationships
and personal activities.
Protect proprietary information
Any information you receive through business dealings
with Rolls-Royce must be kept confidential and never
used for personal gain.This includes both commercial
and technical information. Appropriate nondisclosure
or confidentiality agreements are and will continue
to be used to formalise the process of protecting proprietary
information. Refer to the Rolls-Royce terms of business
between our respective organisations or existing non-disclosure
agreements for details on obligations relating to proprietary
and confidential information.
Gifts and hospitality
Suppliers/partners to Rolls-Royce should not offer gifts
and favours to Rolls-Royce employees that may be seen
as an attempt to influence business decisions.
Supplier/partner selection
Rolls-Royce will select and work with suppliers/partners
in compliance with the principles in this code of conduct.
You should use the same principles within your own supply
base and then incorporate these as part of routine improvement,
compliance and audit activities.
