Rolls-Royce in the community

Rolls-Royce, together with our workforce, actively participates in the community in China. We have organised various initiatives related to education, community building and disaster relief.

Sichuan earthquake disaster relief and reconstruction

In 2008-2009, Rolls-Royce and employee donations contributed to the China Red Cross for immediate disaster relief. Medicins San Frontieres to fund a six-month mental health recovery programme in Sichuan Province. Funds were also donated to a primary school in An County, Sichuan Province to purchase beds for the school dormitories for 500 children.

2010 charity initiatives

In 2010, a variety of schools and charitable organizations in Beijing and Shanghai were beneficiaries of employee donations, Rolls-Royce matching funds, a charity fundraising bazaar, and a Rolls-Royce sponsored creative music project. Rolls-Royce and our employees continue to regularly engage these organisations.
