Twelve RB211 gas turbine packages drive RFBB36 centrifugal pipeline compressors.

In addition, Rolls-Royce has provided eight motor-driven compression sets and associated controls.

There are two gas turbine compressor units at each of six stations and two variable speed motor driven compressor units at each of four stations.

The project is estimated to cost around $20 billion, with the pipeline construction alone costing $5.5 billion.

In December 2005, Rolls-Royce received a $41 million contract for an additional three RB211 packages and upgrading of seven compressors.

The Ningxia Hanas Thermal Power Company in Yinchuan, China had selected a Rolls-Royce Trent 60 DLE (Dry Low Emissions) gas turbine to power one of its combined cycle generating plants, it is the first industry engine operated in China.
