More than 300 Rolls-Royce powered aircraft are currently operating with twelve Chinese airlines, including Hong Kong, and Macao SARs.

All the Chinese airlines have chosen the Trent 700 to power their A330s with a 100 per cent record in China.Air China, the flag carrier of the People's Republic of China, has also chosen the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 to power its new fleet of 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. This year is the 15 years .of RB211-535E4 powered B757 operation in Lhasa route, Air China’s 15 RB211-535E4 powered B757 fleet has accumulated 1,000,000 flying hours during its 15 years of operation.

China Southern already operates three types of aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce: Airbus A330-200s (Trent 700), Boeing 757s (RB211-535) and Embraer ERJ145s (AE3007). China Southern Airlines selected Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines to power its new fleet of five Airbus A380s.

China Eastern's first A340-600 powered by the Rolls-Royce Trent 500 delivered in July 2003 marked the first Trent engine due to enter service in China. In addition, the airline's Fleet Hour Agreement for the Trent 500 was the first in the world.The Hainan Airlines Group, a new customer for Rolls-Royce, selected the Trent 700 to power a new fleet of Airbus A330s. The selection of the Trent 700 ensures that Rolls-Royce maintains its 100 per cent record of powering all A330s in mainland China. Hainan Airlines Group also selected 50 AE3007 powered Embraer ERJ145s .

A new Bell 206L-4 LongRanger IV helicopter, powered by the Rolls-Royce Model 250-C30P was delivered to a Chinese customer in September 2005. The helicopter was handed over by Bell Helicopter executives to the Beijing Capital General Aviation Co. (BCGA) and joins an existing fleet of 17 Rolls-Royce powered helicopters already in service in China.
