During the master class, the first held internationally by the LSO, students conducted members of the London Symphony Orchestra in one movement of Dvořák's Symphony No. 9. Student participants were then mentored by Mr. Harding and members of the LSO including Gareth Davies (flute), Patrick Harrild (tuba) and Matthew Gibson (double bass).
The master class was part of the LSO's community outreach efforts during the China tour and was conceived and organised in partnership with Rolls-Royce. The programme reflects both the LSO and Rolls-Royce's shared commitment to nurturing young talent and respect for precision, innovation and excellence.
