Hucknall
Rolls-Royce has had a presence on the Hucknall site in Nottinghamshire since the 1940s. Today it is home to a number of facilities manufacturing gas turbine components for use in the Defence Aerospace, Civil Aerospace, Marine and Energy sectors.
In the past six years Rolls-Royce has invested £40 million in its Hucknall manufacturing capability, including the combustor and casings facility which opened in October 2005. In addition, approximately £10 million has been invested in other manufacturing facilities, notably the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) pre-production facility in 9 Hanger.
Hucknall employs approximately 900 people in all. The products they manufacture include combustion casings and liners, sheet metal products, bearings and structures, JSF products and outlet guide vanes (OGVs).
