East Kilbride
Opened in 1953, the Nerston facility in East Kilbride, just south of Glasgow, provides repair and overhaul services to customers in the Defence and Civil Aerospace sectors. The plant was originally created to serve the requirements of the RAF during the Korean War, but since then has expanded to embrace the civil sector and now supports our growing aftermarket services activities.
With a workforce of around 620 people, the Rolls-Royce facility is one of the biggest employers in East Kilbride. All in all, our organisation employs over 2,400 people in Scotland and spends some £50 million a year with Scottish suppliers.
