Bristol

Over 3,500 people work for us in Bristol, across a number of businesses. These include Defence Aerospace, Turbines, Component Services, Marine and Aero Repair and Overhaul. We have recently invested over £75 million redeveloping our Bristol site as part of a nationwide investment in world-class operations and assembly facilities.

Teams at the Bristol site manage Rolls Royce’s involvement in collaborative military programmes, such as the AirTanker consortium supplying the UK’s Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft, and Europrop International, which is designing and producing the TP400 engine for the Airbus A400M military transport aircraft. The focal point for the expanding Defence services business is the Operations Centre, which moved to a 24/7 operation within a year of its launch. The Operations business designs, procures and manufactures high-technology components for military and civil aero engines.

Also based at the site is the Naval Marine division which delivers equipment and support services to 70 navies around the world. Current programmes include the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers and the Type 45 Destroyer programme for the Royal Navy, and the Littoral Combat Ship for the US Navy.

Located in the South West of England, Bristol has excellent road, rail and air links and is one of the UK’s greenest cities.
