How to apply

Step 1: Application

Find your desired programme in our search and apply pages and apply online.

Our online application form asks about your degree, work experience and extracurricular activities. You’ll need to choose options from drop-down menus but there are also plenty of spaces to really sell yourself, so make sure you do! The closing date for applications varies between programmes so please check the individual listings on our search and apply pages.

In the UK, if your application is eligible, we’ll invite you to take two online tests. You’ll have ten days to complete them but before you do, try some sample questions – visit www.shldirect.com

For resources to support your application, you can visit the following sites: www.naric.org.uk and www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk

Step 2: Assessment centre

If your application is successful, we’ll invite you to an assessment centre. This final stage of our recruitment process rigorously tests your abilities and usually includes a behavioural interview, a technical interview, psychometric testing, group exercises and, for our Leadership Development Programme applications, a written case study.

We’ll judge you on your aptitude for the job – nothing else

Step 3: Success

If you’ve got the job, we’ll let you know the good news within 48 hours of your assessment centre visit. You’ll get your formal job offer and contract within two weeks and you’ll then have ten days to accept and send it back to us.

Step 4: Starting at Rolls-Royce

Once you accept, we’ll do everything we can to make joining us as straightforward as possible. We’ll put you in touch with your mentor, who will be happy to answer any questions you’ve got about your programme and help you familiarise yourself with your role.

If you’re relocating, there’ll be an accommodation event to help you arrange housing, find people to share with or just explore the city you’ll be calling home.

Wherever you are in the world, you’ll also be invited to our Global Induction Week in September. It’s a great opportunity to meet your colleagues, learn about the programme and get your exciting new career off to a flying start.

Our graduates will start on either Monday 9th September 2013 or January 2014.
