Marketing Profile
Troy Wang
Marketing Graduate Programme
“I was attracted to Rolls-Royce because of its
prestigious reputation and brand name and the scope the company
could offer in terms of international opportunities. Rolls-Royce
is a strong player in all the markets it operates in and enjoys
strong market growth which I found very exciting.
The graduate programme offers a great opportunity to sample and
learn more about different business areas. There’s a wide
variety of work and you’re able to build an excellent network
of contacts throughout the business.
Since I joined Rolls-Royce, I’ve done attachments in market
analysis, product and service marketing, customer business and aircraft
evaluation. I’m currently doing a three-month attachment in
Rolls-Royce Capital Ltd. I’ve found these attachments very
beneficial because they allow me to take responsibility from an
early stage with the right level of support and guidance. There
are hundreds of training courses available and I have attended more
than twenty so far.
The most exciting project I’ve worked on was producing a
Trent and Environment brochure. I had to start from scratch, deciding
the content, writing text, brainstorming the design layout and working
closely with graphic designers, and presenting it to different audiences
to gather feedback. I was very proud of what I achieved and can’t
wait to see the finished product being widely distributed to the
public.
People here have the common belief in the importance of integrity,
innovation, excellence, teamwork and respect for individuals and
cultures around the world. I enjoy being part of the Rolls-Royce
International Society that embraces people and cultures from all
over the world with fantastic events, such as when everyone had
to bring some food that is typical to the country they’re
from and share it with everyone else.”
