Commercial Profile
Tania Sacco
Commercial Graduate Programme

“I was attracted to the Rolls-Royce commercial training programme because of the wide range of opportunities available to travel, work abroad, interact with customers, work alongside other business functions and learn about an exciting global industry. I was looking for a job that would enable me to use and develop the law, strategic management, language, marketing and economics skills I gained as part of my degree.

I was given responsibility from day one and really felt part of the teams I worked with in each of my attachments. I especially enjoyed my four-month secondment to Rolls-Royce Deutschland which allowed me to experience living and working abroad.

The most enjoyable aspect of my job is the sheer range of work I can get involved in from one day to the next – whether it’s supporting the sales team in a new engine campaign or flying to the other side of the world at short notice to resolve a commercial issue with a customer. Managing my own accounts also means I have plenty of contract administration and functional work to do which balances out the more unpredictable side of the job!

I’ve always been keen to further my education so I’m currently working towards a Masters degree in Commercial Law which Rolls-Royce is sponsoring me through.

It’s definitely a work hard, play hard culture. I joined at the same time as other graduates so it was a bit like freshers week all over again except it lasted much longer! I also took the opportunity to chair the Apprentice Association in my first year which made me responsible for organising social and fundraising events on a regular basis. I really enjoyed it and made so many good friends along the way.”
