Internships
Internships
Whether you’ve already decided on your future
direction, or you want to find out if Rolls-Royce is
right for you, we offer professional level work experience
that adds to your development and allows you to get
ever closer to your goals.
Summer Internship Programmes
These are 10-week placements over the summer holiday.
They’re an ideal opportunity for you to try out
a particular profession or type of role to see if it's
something you might want to do once you graduate. You'll
develop some transferable skills that could be useful
back at university and give you direction in your future
career.
Internship Programmes
These are placements that last up to 12 months, either
as a mandatory part of a course, or just because you
think some professional work experience would be a good
idea. Internships can start at various times of the
year, as courses from different universities operate
different schedules.
Whichever internship programme you choose, after a
comprehensive induction, you’ll be given real-life
objectives to work to and will expected to contribute
to the workings of your department from an early stage.
As well as the support of your supervisor, an Early
Career Development Advisor (ECDA) will be on hand to
offer guidance and advice to help you make the most
of your internship.
At the end of your internship, you’ll be asked
to write a report and give a presentation on your placement.
Your performance will be formally reviewed against your
objectives to provide a clear indication of your strengths,
your development needs and your potential career
options for the future.
