Leadership development
We want a flow of people in the company who can grow
with us and who will be able to fill key positions early
on in their careers. This includes roles in general
management and as leading technical specialists within
the company.
The Leadership Development programme is all about finding
and developing these future leaders. Lasting around
18-24 months, with a further two planned career moves,
the programme focuses on promoting leadership ability
while developing your professional competence.
Learning & development
You’ll be exposed to many parts of our business
through three, six-month placements. You’ll need
to be flexible as each will be in a different location,
one of which will be outside the UK, so you’ll
have to be prepared to live abroad for six months. These
placements are deliberately designed to stretch you
and you’ll be expected to make a significant contribution
to the business from day one.
The programme is broad and individual to you, giving
you experience across different sectors of the company.
Your leadership skills will be developed through innovative
learning and development modules, robust feedback and
self-directed learning such as project work.
Throughout your programme, you’ll receive all
the support, encouragement and training opportunities
you need to develop world-class leadership skills, including
coaching and mentoring from a senior manager and an
Early Career Development Advisor (ECDA), who can help
you make the most of your training. Ultimately, with
the right attitude and ability, you’ll be looking
to make a direct contribution to the direction of the
business by reaching a significant leadership role within
five years.
