About us
In all, our business is made up of over 38,000 employees
all across the planet. One thing, though, before we
start: we no longer make cars. What we are famed and
trusted for at Rolls-Royce is (broadly speaking) innovation
on a large scale – more specifically, innovation
in the aerospace, marine and energy markets. We serve
regional and international airlines, for example, providing
them with high-quality engines.
We’re the world’s second largest defence
engine supplier, building a vast range of helicopter
and fighter plane engines. We’re an expert in
marine propulsion: we build propellers for submarines
and ships, and even contribute to ship design. We also
help oil and gas industries with power generation.
In everything we do, we constantly seek to improve
the environmental performance of our products, meeting
ever-growing demands for power for land, sea and air
– and, more importantly, making sure that the
world has a sustainable future.
