As part of our fast-moving Commercial team, you'll start your exciting career with a series of placements within various commercial areas - leading to a role where you can build on what you've learned.
You'll work face-to-face with customers, partners and suppliers across the world, and be given responsibility from early on. You'll be exposed to real business issues as you get involved in negotiating complex contracts and developing exciting business solutions... and of course, everything in between.
You'll be following in the footsteps of a number of prominent Rolls-Royce leaders, and like them, you'll develop your commercial expertise through on-the-job learning, underpinned by high quality formal training. All graduates are mentored by a senior colleague.
Show us a demonstrable talent for business, negotiation and strong relationship skills, along with drive, courage, integrity and an ability to deliver results. You'll need a strong academic record pre-university and a bachelor's degree (2:1 achieved or expected in the UK).
US students need an overall GPA of 3.0 or above. Other candidates will need the national equivalent of these qualifications (visit naric.org.uk for more on this).

Step 1: Application
Find your desired programme in Search and Apply to apply online.
We'll want to know about your degree, work experience and extracurricular activities. You'll need to choose options from or drop-down menus, but there are also plenty of spaces to really sell yourself, so make sure you do! The closing date for applications varies between programmes, so please check the individual listings*.
If you are applying to a role in the UK and your application is eligible you will immediately receive two emails - one to acknowledge you have submitted your application, and the second email inviting you to take two online psychometric tests. You'll then have ten days to complete them - but before you do, try out some sample questions by visiting www.shldirect.com. We have also compiled a number of frequently asked questions to support you.

Step 2: Come to our Assessment Centre
If your application is successful, we'll invite you to an Assessment Centre. This final stage of our recruitment process rigorously tests your abilities and usually includes a behavioural interview, a technical interview, psychometric testing and group exercises. Research and preparation is key to your success!
Step 3: Success - you've got the job!
We'll let you know if you've been successful within 48 hours of your Assessment Centre visit. If you have, then you'll receive a formal offer via email along with all the other relevant information you need.
Step 4: Starting at Rolls-Royce
Once you accept, we'll do everything we can to make joining us as straight forward as possible. We'll put you in touch with the right people immediately to make sure that you have access to a network of support right from the beginning.
Wherever you are in the world, you'll also be invited to a regional Induction Week. It's a great opportunity to meet your colleagues, learn about the programme and get your career off to a flying start.
