The FUGOY is such a prestigious award and this has been a great experience. I really enjoyed my assessment centre because it was so much more than just an interview – I've never attended one before that included tours and networking. Seeing the test beds and the museum were particularly interesting and helped me to gain much more insight into the firm. The fact that it was two days with an overnight stay was great, because it allowed me to get to know the other candidates. It is really nice to meet other students from around the country who share similar interests, especially with such talented people.
Winning this award would be a great honour and I would like to do so for the same reasons that I applied. It is a highly sought after award that indicates significant accomplishment on the part of the candidate and also offers the opportunity to work with an incredibly dynamic and stimulating company. Especially after touring the facilities and meeting some employees, I feel that Rolls-Royce would be a place that I could flourish and contribute. The team environment seemed to be very strong with a good business culture.
I would also just like to add that I appreciate all of the effort Rolls-Royce has put into the programme and that support of undergraduates is vital for developing the future - so thank you!
