BEST THING ABOUT ROLLS-ROYCE
It's hard to put a finger on what I enjoy most working at Rolls-Royce. I like the people here, and how they don't treat you any different because you are an Apprentice - everyone is treated equally. I also really enjoy learning something new every day, and then applying this to a problem to help me find a solution.

MOST EXCITING WORK SO FAR
Going out into the business and actually seeing where engines are made! Learning all of the different processes it goes through, and seeing the inspections before it's delivered to the customer. And finding new ways to improve all the time - there's so much problem solving involved in everything I do, which is something I love. It's so fascinating.

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
My apprenticeship includes both classroom and practical based training. I have a block week of college every three weeks. When I'm not at college I'm in the workshop usually, for my first year anyway. I've done training on assembly and turning along with week appreciations on all the other sections.

For the second and third year of my apprenticeship I'll be working out in the business on placements gaining valuable experience. Rolls-Royce also provides a week of training on things like health and safety, employees' rights and responsibilities, and cost excellence.
