Customer Business Instructor

Reference number: 00057211, Date added: 09-Apr

We now have an opportunity for a Customer Training Instructor to join our Energy Business that provides gas turbine related energy solutions, products and services to major international blue chip clients in the oil and gas, and power generation utility markets.

As our successful Customer Trainer you will be based in Azerbaijan and will be accountable for preparing and delivering training (both theoretical and practical) to customer audiences in Central Asia and globally as required; often working across geographic, political and cultural barriers. You will act as an ambassador for the company and will often be required to travel as the sole company representative maintaining at all times appropriate professional and cultural awareness.

You will communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences and will be required to transform these into presentation materials (either directly or through subcontracting and managing this compilation) and incorporate these into lesson plans and guides for delivery.

You will be expected to acquire and retain extensive breadth and depth of subject knowledge through interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations and trade journals along with your own life experiences gained in a substantive previous Engineering role. This extends to the entire scope of the project supply (mechanical, maintenance, controls, electrical and operation) spanning traditionally separate disciplines.

Additionally, you will also be responsible for scheduling and coordinating your own and subcontract activity in support of fulfilling training proposal requirements for both internal and external training programs. You will engage with customers to identify and develop course outlines and material to meet training needs and shortfalls in competence assessment.

You will identify, maintain and manage the local holding of training delivery aids and hardware for both customer and internal delivery.

You will deliver training directly across a wide portfolio of Rolls-Royce products to both internal and external customers globally and often through professional interpreters. You will therefore be required to travel internationally to accomplish the business training commitments.

You will also undertake evaluation of current training materials (global content) and procedures. And will develop (or recommend where appropriate) revisions to keep the training material current and up to date. Additionally, you’ll be required to develop materials for new projects and products and engage as a process improvement team leader to help establish and audit departmental process. Your responsibilities will also ensure you prepare and directly issue proposals for both internal and external training solutions, including commitment on behalf of the company on pricing, commercial terms of business, course content and delivery location.

You will be proficient in English and Russian.

In the recruitment process all candidates are required to provide the necessary right to work information and documentation.
