As a result of the discoveries of huge deepwater offshore reserves of oil and gas, Brazil will become the most important single market for the Offshore Marine market for the next 20 years. Investment in the region over the next 5 years alone will exceed $227bn, with more than 55% of this allocated to Exploration and Production.  The Marine business is establishing a new facility in Macae, Brazil to assemble and test thrusters. A cross-functional programme team is in place to manage the build and production is due to start in Q3 2014.

To support this new facility, we are seeking a Manufacturing Resource Planning Controller (MRPC) – Make / Buy.  This role will directly support the Master scheduler to obtain commitment from suppliers for their part number portfolio and ensure maintenance of component planning data (e.g. Master (lead time) and dynamic data (transactional) for cascading of demand through the supply chain.  Additionally, the MRPC will be responsible for creating plans to ensure the delivery of raw materials to meet requirements, assisting the Plant Manager to ensure production plans meet customer requirements.

This individual will also plan and manage stock across the supply chain ensuring levels specified are maintained and is used in the appropriate order and time frame as well as interface with suppliers to lead and co-ordinate all improvement activity associated with planning, control, inventory, delivery and lead time.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in production planning and control within a manufacturing production or assembly environment.  This individual will also bring knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools, e.g. MXM, SAP, or BAAN and Microsoft Office applications.

Additionally, the preferred candidate will be a team player with solid experience working as part of a production team in a manufacturing environment as well as possess prior experience working with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean (Green/ Black belt accreditation would be beneficial).  Working knowledge of MXN/SAP/BAAN is also desirable.
