Rolls-Royce, Civil Nuclear Canada located in Peterborough Ontario, has over 30 years of operation in the Canadian nuclear market and holders of the prestigious and internationally recognized ASME N-stamp accreditation, are seeking to attract applicants for the position of Proposals Lead.
Role Description / Qualifications and experience:
- A minimum five (5) years practical experience in sales / marketing and proposal generation.
- A minimum three (3) years of management experience.
- Candidate will possess a post secondary education in a related field or an acceptable equivalent in education and relevant experience.
Experience in Project Management will include:
Cultural awareness including experience of international environment and experience with strategic planning are required; Requires a good understanding across the business, its technologies, products and processes, and that of its customers. Ideally having a track record in relationship management, can demonstrate a level of strategic thinking, and as a minimum an understanding of business development, sales, commercial, and customer services.
Experience in the following areas is expected:
Responsible for deciding which proposals to bid; Manages proposals to ensure consistent and accurate descriptions of offer and estimates; Is actively involved in strategic planning. Works with Account Directors to balance work flow opportunities; Negotiate innovative support packages and secure contract agreements which deliver customer value and the required margin to the business; Administer contracts with the customer which build relationships and ensure payment for all work undertaken minimizing warranty and guarantee costs; Keep the customers informed and represent their needs within Rolls-Royce; Ensure that the invoice is delivered and that payment is secured in line with contract conditions; Implement continuous improvement and support the process review process. Implement strategic planner opportunity development; Manages proposal database and provides management information for strategic planning.
To manage a defined area customer account(s), ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained and improved, returns from current business are maximized and profitable new business captured. Functionally responsible for forming and managing the proposals team.
